I live where I work, and I love where I live, Toronto’s exciting & diverse Danforth/East York area.
This has been my neighbourhood since the late 1960’s. Being a country girl at heart, I’ve always loved the small town feel, shopping and dining locally. In the early 1980’s I started helping people buy and sell homes here. It is a wonderful Toronto neighbourhood that’s close to the subway, parks and a wealth of great shops and restaurants and has a powerful community spirit. You can see it on display every day, with many street parties like the Langford Avenue Halloween Party for kids, during the Taste of the Danforth and at the annual Neighbourhood Street Sale in early September, an event I’ve helped organize for more than 30 years.
The Danforth also has deep family ties for me. My late husband John DiSalle grew up in Riverdale, my sister and husband live a few doors down the street and several other members of my very extended family are within a short walk.
Being a realtor has connected me with a diverse and fascinating array of people, many of whom I’m proud to say have become friends, neighbours and repeat clients.
I offer a deep knowledge of the area, sophisticated expertise in marketing and staging and no-nonsense negotiating skills. I grew up on a chicken farm in beautiful Prince Edward County (before it was trendy), the youngest of seven children - an experience that instilled a strong work ethic. I studied Fashion Merchandising and Business Management and before moving into real estate, spent 12 years managing restaurants like the Great Canadian Soup Company and Cara Operations Urban Restaurants in Union Station. My career has been all about a commitment to service, working with and helping people. It brings me great joy to connect with people “where the heart is”, during the most important transaction of their lives, “home”!
